A rugged mountain range of unique sandstone formations and steep cliffs, the Blue Mountains is known for its dramatic landscape. Surrounded by giant eucalyptus trees which create a blue haze that lives up to its name. We travel onwards to explore the amazing Jamison Valley with magnificent valley and canyon views, a major scenic attraction. Get up close to the storied sandstone formation, the iconic Three Sisters . Hike along some impressive bush trails toward one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in New South Wales then settle in to watch the sun sink behind the distant mountains casting shadows over the rock formations and eucalyptus forests. On the journey home, take a quick break to grab some dinner (at your own expense) before we go kangaroo spotting! Many of Australia’s native animals are much more active in the dusk hours and we’ll explore some of the secret spots where we are most likely to find wildlife. This includes a detailed itinerary with timings, as well as your Kuranda Scenic Rail and Skyrail tickets, allowing you to proceed straight to the boarding area. You will then be transferred to Freshwater Station to board the historic Kuranda Scenic Rail for one of the most unique rail journeys in Australia. Sit back and relax as this famous railway winds its way to Kuranda, passing spectacular waterfalls and into the beautiful Barron Gorge. Once you arrive in Kuranda, free time is allowed to explore this unique village.
