~ 08:00 You can choose the pick-up location (at 08:00) at your hotel or the Opera House. ~ Continue to travel to Ha Long Bay by car, and then embark on the beautiful journey with cruising boat through Ha Long Bay. ~ The cruise will take you to Surprise Cave, located deep at the heart of Bo Hon Island. This grotto honors its ‘Surprise’ name thanks to its unique ability to convey the true jaw-dropping feeling of every tourist within the very first step into the cave. Its sheer enormous size has made the cave to become a live theater, which reveals to the world various kinds of stalactite formation, forged through thousands of years by the wonder of time. The brilliant and colorful lights inside the cavern have made its gigantic rooms appear like a completely new world of its own. ~ Resume the journey to Tip Top Island to enjoy the most natural and well-preserved soft sand beach. Dive drive in the clean and fresh water if you want to escape the heat of the day. If you are not a sun-seeking type and would like to enjoy something else besides lying down on the beach’s lounge, do not hesitate to walk around the island and enjoy a stunning 360-degree view of the surroundings. ~ In the afternoon, head on to Fighting Cock Islet, the most recognizable symbol of Ha Long tourism. The islet is named after its natural aesthetic and pleasing shapes of incidental rock formation, which looks like two fiery cocks fighting one another above the watery arena. Visit Ho Chi Minh complex, you have a chance to see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh then walk around the garden to see 2 houses where he lived & worked from 1954 to 1969. Then visit One Pillar Pagoda where worships the Godess of Mercy – It is the most unique pagoda in the world. Visit Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in the whole country of Vietnam Have lunch at our restaurant. ~ 08:00 To start a day trip in Ho Chi Minh City, nothing is better than taking the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace that was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. This widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu and built on an area of 4,500 m² with 3 floors, 1 terrace, 2 mezzanines, ground floor, 2 basements and a terrace for helicopter landed. Outside the front and behind the Palace are two green parks. In the mid-1960s, it was the largest of its kind in the South and had the highest construction cost (150,000 kilograms of gold). ~ Continue the journey, you will be introduced with the Notre Dame Cathedral. This work is a replica of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris with building materials are imported entirely from France. The architecture of the church is built on the architectural style of J.Bourard which is Roman mixed with Gothic style architecture, including churches, bell towers and parks outside. With specially designed, the cathedral can withstand up to 10 times the entire interior church structure. ~ In the next destination, you can see the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times – the historic Central Post Office that is one of the typical buildings of Ho Chi Minh City, located at No. 2 St. Charles Square, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1. This work is built by the French from 1886-1891 and designed by Villedieu architect and his assistant – Foulhoux, which make it has European-style architecture combined with Asian decor. ~ 13:00 Depart for Cu Chi tunnel that will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by an introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the wartime. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the constructed living areas with kitchens, side by side bedrooms with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served. ~ Before returning to Saigon, what is more exciting is that during break time, besides taking time to relax, you can try the real shooting gun. It is surely a great experience to end this journey.
