Inside, gaze up at the vaulted ceiling and beautiful frescoes depicting medieval life in the town. Then visit the former royal mint which once coined Prague groschen, the hard currency of Central Europe at the time. Learn about the role Kutná Hora played in the economic life of the country, so much so that King Wenceslas IV had his royal residence here. Then visit the Sedlec Ossuary - the Bone Chapel, where the entire interior is decorated with the bones of up to 70,000 people. Candelabras, chalices and coats of arms are just some of the eerie relics on display in this unique ossuary, which was constructed by a half-blind monk charged with exhuming the overflowing graveyard in the 14th century. There’s even a chandelier containing every bone in the human body. Like all great revolutions, the Hard Rock Cafe wasn’t meant to succeed. It was 1971 and as the Swinging Sixties had given way to the Super Seventies, fashions and tastes were changing.
