The stone walls and design of the basilica offer a counterpoint to the grandiosity of the castle. See the fragments of 12th-century frescoes and then walk up the double staircase where the remains of St. Ludmila lie. Walk along the Golden Lane. The cottages in this alley were originally built for the castle’s sharpshooters, but later housed goldsmiths. In later centuries artists like Franz Kafka lived there. Examine the reconstructed workshops and homes of the Golden alley. See how the working people of Prague lived in the shadow of the castle. MEETING POINT INSTRUCTIONS: Meet directly in front of the exit of the Malostranská metro station, where there is a small water fountain (covered during winter). You will see a brown and white sign stating ''meeting point''. Subway directions: after taking the second escalator from the subway, go left. Tram directions: after getting off at the Malostranská stop, cross the street and head toward the subway stop Malostranská.

Like all great revolutions, the Hard Rock Cafe wasn’t meant to succeed. It was 1971 and as the Swinging Sixties had given way to the Super Seventies, fashions and tastes were changing.
