It started in 1997 as a small cultural fair near Dubai Creek with fewer than 10 countries. Today, what was once a modest showcase has become a major multicultural festival park.

Season 30 of Global Village Dubai carries some real weight. For its 30th season, the organisers have gone further than in any previous season with three headline additions:

The Dragon Lake has also been upgraded this season with enhanced clarity of its Guinness World Record-holding underwater screen, new fire effects, and expanded main stage seating.

How many pavilions are in Global Village Dubai?

Ask anyone who has been, and they will tell you the pavilions are what you go for.

So what is Global Village Dubai at its heart? It is a collection of country-specific and group pavilions, each bringing together different cultures, food, shopping, and experiences. Walking from pavilion to pavilion is genuinely disorienting in the best way possible. One minute you are in a Moroccan souk with argan oil and hand-woven textiles, the next you are in the Saudi pavilion surrounded by traditional Najdi crafts.

Season 30 has 30 pavilions representing over 90 cultures. Some of the countries and regions represented through the pavilions include:

• Asia and South Asia: India, China, Japan, South Korea, Pakistan, Thailand, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh
• Middle East: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Palestine and other regional cultures
• Turkey: Turkey has its own pavilion, known for its food, tea culture, hand-woven lamps, and live music
• Africa: Africa, Egypt and Morocco
• Europe: Europe and Russia

Shopping across the pavilions is a highlight in its own right. You will find Moroccan argan oil, Japanese origami and ceramics, African carved drums, Indian handicrafts, and Turkish lighting.

The entertainment at Global Village runs from the moment gates open to the last hour of the evening.

Global Village Dubai Rides and Carnaval

If the pavilions are the culture and the shows are the spectacle, the Carnaval zone is pure fun.

The Carnaval zone features over 200 rides, games, and attractions, catering to every age from toddlers to thrill-seekers.

How Much Do Global Village Dubai Tickets Cost?

Global Village Dubai tickets start at AED 25, making it a popular evening attraction in Dubai.

How Do You Get to Global Village Dubai?

The venue is in Dubailand, off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), Exit 37. It is roughly 25 to 30 km from central Dubai, around 30 to 40 minutes by car in normal traffic.

• By car or taxi: If you are driving or taking a taxi, use Exit 37 on E311. There are more than 18,000 parking spaces with several entry and exit points. Standard parking is available, and VIP parking costs AED 200 per day.
• By bus: You can also take one of five RTA bus routes to Global Village Dubai. Buses run daily from about 3:15 PM to 11:15 PM. The tour from central Dubai usually takes around 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
• By ride-hailing: Uber and Careem are both reliable options. Drop-off points are easy to find at the entrance gates.

Before You Go

• Dress code: Torso (including shoulders) and legs (including knees) must be covered at all times; this applies to all visitors regardless of nationality
• Child wristbands: Pick up a free registered wristband for young children at guest services on arrival; it helps staff reunite children with their parents should they become separated
• Lockers: Available in three sizes from AED 15 for the duration of your visit; useful if you plan to shop heavily
• Power banks: Available to hire for AED 10 per 60 minutes if your phone runs low; important given the amount of photo-taking most people do
• Wheelchairs and scooters: Available to hire from AED 10; the venue is wheelchair-friendly throughout
• No outside food or drink: This is strictly enforced at entry
• Free Wi-Fi: Available across the entire venue

Tribe Travel Tip: For a more relaxed visit, go on a weekday evening during the first few weeks of the season. Weekends from December to February are the busiest, so arrive early if you want to avoid crowds.
