3 day singapore itinerary

Singapore 3 Day Itinerary for Short Holidays

Think of yourself sipping teh tarik in a buzzing hawker centre, skyline twinkling, after a day of Supertree glows and spicy laksa. That's Singapore in just three days. It is intense, delicious, and of course unforgettable. Now you must be wondering why three days? Well, it’s the best time for busy travellers who want a quick recharge without the mega-vacay commitment. The philosophy is as follows: choose the best time and plan a Singapore 3 Day Itinerary that mixes wonders, activities, and fun on a budget. Now, let’s map it out for you on how you can witness the beautiful Singapore in just three days.

Best Singapore 3 Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Singapore

Image

Marina Bay's dazzling kickoff

  • Head straight to Marina Bay Sands.
  • Visit the sky park's infinity edge (free views from below), then ArtScience Museum's interactive wizardry, like Van Gogh exhibits that pop off walls.(subjective to change). It's SGD 22 for a single exhibition and SGD 25 for multi-exhibition access, but it packs a punch in 90 minutes.
  • Next is Gardens by the Bay. It is an outdoor Supertrees, which are pure magic; splurge on Flower Dome's baobabs or misty Cloud Forest.
  • For the evening, the Garden Rhapsody light-and-music show at 7:45 PM or 8:45 PM is a pure spectacle. You will see trees "dancing" with lasers.

Day 2: Heritage heart and soul

Image

  • It’s time to get culturally overloaded with your Singapore 3 Day Itinerary. Start your day by visiting Chinatown.  Buddha Tooth Relic Temple's ornate roofs and incense calm the soul.
  • For food, you can try out the Maxwell Food Centre's Tian Tian chicken rice.
  • Then, hop to Little India. Here you’ll get Tekka Centre's fresh dosas and masala chai.
  • In the afternoon, check out Kampong Glam. See the shiny Sultan Mosque, snap pics in Haji Lane's cool graffiti streets, and try flaky murtabak (stuffed pancake) at Zam Zam.
  • End the night at Clarke Quay. You can sit by the river at bars with music, sip a gin and tonic, and watch boats go by. It's an old-school culture with energy, and everything is easy to walk to.

Day 3: Explore Beyond the City Centre

Image

Sentosa Island and Jewel Changi

  • Take the cable car from Mount Faber to Sentosa (SGD 35 round trip, great views from above) or the quick monorail.
  • If you love thrills, want to include in your Singapore travel itinerary, hit Universal Studios for intense rides like the Transformers 3D dark ride. It is a motion-simulator experience that gives you the feeling of standing in the middle of a battle between Autobots and Decepticons.
  • It is a 3D dark ride consisting of motion platform-mounted vehicles which follow a track.
  • Prefer relaxing? Try Palawan Beach with its zip-line over sand and sea. Luge slides give a quick adrenaline rush without eating up your whole day.
  • Head back by 3 PM to Jewel Changi Airport. See the huge 40-meter Rain Vortex waterfall inside a toroidal glass-and-steel dome with fun hedge mazes and attractions.

Must-Eat Foods That Make Your Trip Special

Singapore's food scene is world-famous, especially at hawker centres, open-air food courts packed with cheap, tasty stalls run by local chefs. These are the real stars for a 3-day trip. Here's what to try, why they're awesome, and where (all super affordable, SGD 5-20 per person):

  • Kaya Butter Toast at Tong Ah: Warm toast coated with kaya (sweet coconut jam), slabs of butter, and soft-boiled eggs. It's crispy and creamy – a breakfast heaven.
  • Chilli Crab at Palm Beach Seafood: Singapore's national dish. It’s a whole crab in sweet-spicy tomato-chilli sauce. Use your hands to crack shells and dip mantou buns in the gravy. Share one for two people ( it can cost you around SGD 50-80 in total). It's tasty and addictive.
  • Laksa at 328 Katong Laksa: Noodle soup with coconut gravy, prawns, fish cake, and bean sprouts, it’s spicy, tangy, slurpy goodness.
  • Rojak Fruit Salad: Fresh fruits and veggies tossed in shrimp paste, peanuts, and chilli. Sweet-salty-crunchy street snack (SGD 4). Find it at hawker centres everywhere.

Want to include Veggie options in your Singapore 3 Day Itinerary? Don’t worry, as most centres have Indian banana leaf meals, tofu laksa, or roti prata in Little India. Eat where locals queue; it's fresh and safe.

Best Time to Go

  • Top Picks: February to May (warm, mostly dry, 28-32°C) or July to September (sunny post-rainy season).
  • Avoid: December school holidays (packed families), November-January rains (daily showers). Check the Singapore school calendar online and aim for weekdays.
